Dezeen Showroom: solid timber is elegantly smoothed and sculpted in this chair, designed by French architect Charlie Pommier for his eponymous furniture company, Pommier.

The Mosso chair has a frame that curves up and around the sitter in a flowing line, giving solid wood a soft and fluid appearance.

Pommier aimed for the form to deliver on comfort as much as aesthetic appeal, as the bend of the backrest offers good support for the spine, according to the brand.

The Mosso chair is made in Serbia, where Pommier is headquartered, using all-European materials and FSC-certified timber.

The brand says the natural wood and refined lines of the frame bring a sense of harmony and tranquillity into living spaces.
