Amazonite is a form of quartzite, which is a type of metamorphic rock formed with a network of interlocking quartz grains that give it a high level of strength and durability.

Antolini says it has a pearly lustre and "evokes the act of plunging into the marvellous turquoise sea or wandering in a wild forest".
