Dezeen Showroom: Scandinavian paint brand Blēo has created a range of strongly pigmented paints that have been developed in collaboration with eminent designers.

Blēo's paints are 100 per cent water-based, eco-friendly, non-toxic, low-VOC and are EU Ecolabel certified without compromising on rich and vivid colourations.

The brand's collaborators include designers Ronan Bouroullec, John Pawson, David Chipperfield, Barber Osgerby, Cecilie Bahnsen, Muller Van Severen, Inga Sempé and Sabine Marcelis, who are among 17 individuals that the brand has worked with in order to develop their own personal palettes of colours.

Each paint colour is available in six distinctive finishes, each of which works effectively when covering wood, concrete, plaster and metal, among others.

To contain the paint, Blēo designed an airtight box that is biodegradable, FSC-certified and made from recycled materials.

The 'Paint-in-Box' packaging also protects the paint from moisture and dust, ensuring that it is in prime condition when it is applied.

All of Blēo's paints can be used to colour walls, ceilings, furniture and detailing.
